Dr. Clarke is a licensed psychologist who joined us after completing her internship and fellowship at Bellevue Hospital and Rutgers University.  She has expertise working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of disorders, including substance abuse, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders.  She specializes in the often under-served substance abuse and minority populations.

Dr. McDanal is a licensed psychologist who specializes in serving children, adolescents, and adults.  She works with individuals and families to improve their functioning and increase their well-being.  Dr. McDanal offers psychological, neuropsychological, and educational evaluations and treatment of difficulties including learning problems, Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, childhood behavioral and emotional issues, autism spectrum disorders, and dementia.  She also performs pre-employment evaluations, as well as pre-surgical assessments of individuals considering procedures such as bariatric surgery or morphine pump implants.  

Dr. Diana Amodeo

Dr. Diana Amodeo is a psychology resident and offers a wide range of therapy services, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, eating disorders, substance dependence and chronic medical conditions. Dr. Amodeo also provides an array of psychological, neuropsychological and diagnostic evaluations for autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD, mood, anxiety, cognitive and bariatric.

Dr. Cynthia McDanal

About Us

Katie Belcher has a Master’s in Professional Counseling and is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a large variety of concerns including Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Autism. She has worked in various clinical settings including homes, schools, office, and hospital.  She specializes in adolescents and adults with anxiety, mood disorders, and adjustment difficulties.

Dr. Joel Freid


Dr. Frey has worked with children, adolescents and families dealing with a variety of challenges such as history of trauma, depression, anxiety, bereavement, school issues, bullying and family conflict. She has extensive training in counseling, evaluation, and consultation services for children as young as three up to older adults. Dr. Hunt has had a variety of clinical experiences, from working in school settings, hospitals, extended day treatment programs for children, community mental health centers and private practices. She is very passionate and has a strong desire to help the individuals and families that she works with by guiding and assisting them to reach their own personal goals.

Dr. Freid is a Licensed Psychologist who has been in practice here in Polk County for more than 34 years. He specializes in counseling adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties. Dr. Freid also provides counseling for couples and families with marital and relationship issues.

Ms. Claudia Carrillo

Ms. Carrillo has a master’s degree in clinical mental health and is a licensed mental health counselor. She has experience assisting adults struggling with depression, stress, anxiety, and substance use. Prior to her work as a therapist, Ms. Carrillo was a counselor of a different kind, practicing law in Florida for more than 20 years in the areas of family and real estate. Ms. Carrillo is an approved Parenting Coordinator with the 10th Judicial Circuit, allowing her to serve the needs of families experiencing high-conflict divorce and assisting in identification of more effective communication skills aimed at improving dialogue and maintaining the well-being of the children. For couples who have made the decision to divorce, Ms. Carrillo provides counseling through solution-focused, non-legal advice, as well as assistance navigating the divorce proceedings, including managing emotions and conflict, and clarifying goals and decisions throughout the transition process of divorce. She is also certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Family Mediator and trained in Collaborative Family Law for Mental Health.
